The Ekka 2021 Royal Queensland Show
Brisbane’s biggest annual event is back
Not long to wait now… The EKKA Royal Queensland Show is making a comeback with a brand new larger-than-ever-before program to make up for last year’s cancellation.
We all missed it last year but the wait is over! Royal Queensland Show is Brisbane’s largest annual event, a celebration of Queensland agriculture that draws in over 400,000 visitors each year from all over Australia.
This year, the family-friendly Ekka 2021 Show is gearing up to be its biggest yet, bringing more animals, more mouth-watering food and more explosive live entertainment in the Brisbane Showgrounds Main Arena.
Want to know what there is to look forward to? Have a little peek below.
Ekka 2021 Program
First-time visitors and Ekka regulars won’t want to miss it this year. The program will include annual crowd-favourite attractions as well as a number of brand new and exciting events, competitions and things to do for all ages.
Daytime Entertainment – each day, Brisbane Showgrounds will be filled with fun entertainment for all the family, including a Paw Patrol live show, Luke’s Reptile Kingdom, Farmyard Friends, Channel Seven Fashion Parade and live music lineups at both the Multicultural Plaza Stage and XXXX Stockmen’s Bar – plus more!
Animals – animal lovers are in for a treat at this year’s show, where there will be a competition involving alpacas, cattle, cats, dogs, fish, goats, horses, birds, sheep and more. Want to get up close? Make sure to look out for RACQ Animal Nursery, Cradle a Chick, Norco Milking Nursery and Sheep Shearing.
A taste of Queensland – The EKKA will round up the best food and fresh farm produce from around Queensland, offering a diverse spread of food trucks, pop-up restaurants and bars, plus two huge food precincts. Looking to taste craft beer, fresh produce and more? The Royal QLD Show won’t disappoint.
Of course, no Royal Queensland Show is complete without EkkaNITES – the show’s nightly live entertainment spectacle – and this year it’s returning with a newly revamped fireworks display. Fireworks will launch from more than 200 points, including a 25m-high tower, as galloping horse riders, motorcycle riders, utes, remote control cars, fire twirlers, LED scooters and more race around the Main Arena. This will take place EACH NIGHT.
Simply put, the return of the Royal Queensland Show is not to be missed!
