Everybody may find something to enjoy in Brisbane, especially this October, with its abundance of festivals, live music, live sports, and art and culture.

Are you a movie enthusiast? Then you’ll appreciate these two film festivals, which you can catch in Brisbane in the first few days of October.

2022 Italian Film Festival – Brisbane

September 21 – October 19

Cav. Antonio Zeccola developed the idea for a festival dedicated to Italian cinema when he realised that Australia has various film festivals but none specifically for it. The festival’s first edition was in Sydney and Melbourne in November 2000 and showcased eleven features, five retrospective films, and five shorts. The first festival was a huge success. Thus, the second Italian Film Festival expanded nationwide to Perth, Adelaide, and Brisbane in 2001 due to increased audience demand.

The 2022 Italian Film Festival, Australia’s premier celebration of Italian culture and cinema, is back this spring and promises to take audiences on an unforgettable trip to Italy. The film showings for Brisbane will be in Palace Barracks and James St Cinemas.
